FLC Enters into Partnership with RTI Innovation Advisors

Released: August 29, 2023

(WASHINGTON, DC – August 29, 2023) The Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) has entered into a strategic partnership with RTI Innovation Advisors (RTI IA), a business unit of RTI International, as part of an ongoing campaign to build stronger relationships and greater collaboration between federal laboratories and forward-thinking organizations to boost entrepreneurial activity between public and private sector organizations.

“Our partnership with FLC amplifies our commitment to ensure that today’s breakthroughs become tomorrow’s solutions.” said Kirsten Rieth, senior director, strategy and innovation at RTI Innovation Advisors. “This collaboration will help bridge the gap between revolutionary research and real-world applications.”

Under the agreement, the FLC and RTI IA will strengthen the relationship between federal labs and industry to move technologies out of the lab and into the marketplace – a vital process known as technology transfer. These public-private partnerships will support new innovations, leading to job creation and economic benefits.

“This collaboration with RTI IA will enhance FLC’s ability to support technology transfer for the greater good. RTI IA has a global network that supports bringing technologies to market that have a meaningful impact” said Paul Zielinski, FLC Executive Director. “We’re excited to work with RTI IA to build stronger relationships leading to more successful technology transfer activities that benefit society.”
