FLC Digest Takes Silver at the AM&P EXCEL Awards

(WASHINGTON, DC, July 10,2023) – The FLC, a federal consortium of more than 300 federal labs conducting technology transfer, has been honored with an AM&P (formerly known as Association Media & Publishing Network) EXCEL Silver award. 

The award recognizes the redesign of FLC’s weekly e-newsletter, FLC Digest, which is distributed to nearly 6,000 technology transfer professionals in federal laboratories and the private sector. The FLC Digest underwent a redesign last year to create a more visually appealing newsletter featuring original content, useful news/updates for the federal tech transfer community, collaborator and partner news, as well as promotions for FLC events, products and calls to action. The redesign has engaged the community, resulting in improved open and click through rates.

“The FLC Digest is the primary tool to communicate broadly with the FLC community,” said the FLC Executive Director, Paul Zielinski.  “Our redesign reflects our continued focus on increasing engagement with the federal technology transfer community.  The updated design improves form and function so our readers can get to the news they want quickly and efficiently.”

This was the Software & Information Industry Association’s 43rd Annual AM&P Awards, the largest and most prestigious program recognizing excellence and leadership in association media, publishing, marketing and communication. The association presented 211 awards in 2023 across 74 categories.
